I found the article very interesting. When I was in grade school in the 1950’s (in what is now Doherty Middle School), I had a classmate whose family operated the mink farm (Pettigrew family). She graduated with me from AHS and lived in the Jenkins home at 89 Jenkins Road.
Wish I had been friendlier with her and might have seen the inside of the house!
