What a great history lesson. My daughter has been going to Rec Park Camp for the past 5 summers and takes lessons at the pond. We really enjoyed reading this article together!!
Although I’m no longer a resident of Andover my kids and I enjoyed many good times at Pomp’s— and it was free. I was quite dismayed last year to learn of the prohibitive cost—even to senior citizens —for the privilege of going to the pond. And I hate how the town excludes, for all intents and purposes, non-Andoverites.
My childhood memories growing up in this neighborhood are a blessing to me. So much to do around there. This was when the neighbors were your friends too.
