Hello!
Thank you to everyone who patiently waited for posts and stories while we were off doing History Center things for a few months!
History Buzz is written by a team of volunteers and staff of the Andover Center for History and Culture. (Click here to check out our website to learn more about us!) For over three years, our hardy team of writers was able to research, write, and post over 300 stories to the Buzz - posting twice a week. We loved sharing our stories with you and reading your comments and emails.
We didn’t recognize it at first back in May. But as the weeks went on and we still weren’t posting, it became clear. We needed a break.
So after six months of focusing on the History Center - finishing the last work on our capital campaign renovations, hosting an amazing classic car show, caring for our treasured historical collections, and leading many walking tours of Andover - we’re back.
To make sure we can continue to research and write the quality stories you’ve come to expect, we’re committing to posting two times a month. Maybe more if we get really excited about a topic and can’t help ourselves. But definitely twice a month.
Look for our first story tomorrow, November 17. History Buzz writer Doug Cooper is back with a fiery story from 1941.
Thanks so much for reading, subscribing, commenting, and sharing! I’m looking forward to sharing stories and conversations with you.
~Elaine
